JOURNEY THROUGH SOUND
Fri 9 Oct 2026 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Paddock wood community centre, TN12 6EB
An Immersive Guided Journey & Gong Bath 🌿🔔
Step out of the everyday and into another world.
Journey Through Sound is an immersive experience combining a deeply guided visualisation journey with the powerful vibrations and sounds of a live gong bath.
From the moment you arrive, the space will be transformed.
Settle into a comfortable bed with blankets, pillows and an eye mask, surrounded by immersive projections, ambient lighting and the sounds of nature as we prepare to journey deep into an ancient rainforest.
🌿 THE JOURNEY
The experience begins with a gentle hypnotic-style induction, designed to help you settle, switch off from the outside world and enter a deeper, more receptive state.
From there, Luke will guide you through a rich visualisation journey into the heart of the rainforest.
Rather than simply being told to close your eyes and imagine somewhere peaceful, the world is gradually built around you.
You'll journey deeper into the landscape, discovering its sights, sounds and hidden places until your surroundings begin to feel familiar.
And then the guidance falls away...
🔔 WHEN SOUND TAKES OVER
This is where your own journey begins.
For approximately 30 minutes, Ellie from Phoenix Gongs takes over with a live gong immersion, allowing you to freely explore the world you've been guided into.
The sound becomes part of the landscape.
Feel the deeper vibrations as movement through the earth and the network of roots beneath you. Hear chimes moving through the leaves and layers of sound travelling through the forest around you.
There is nowhere you're supposed to go and nothing you're supposed to find.
Simply follow your imagination and discover where the sound takes you.
✨ PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS
If you've ever thought, “I can't meditate” or “I'm not very good at visualising,” this experience has been created with you in mind.
You won't be expected to create an entire journey by yourself.
You'll first be guided into a deeply relaxed state and taken step-by-step into the landscape. By the time the guidance ends and the gongs begin, you already know where you are.
All that's left to do is explore.
Experienced meditators and journeyers can equally use the extended period of free exploration to go deeper into their own experience.

What happens during a sound bath?
Despite the name, there is no water involved. The word bath refers to being immersed in the sounds and vibrations of the gongs and crystal singing bowls.
How should I prepare?
Wear comfortable clothing, but we provide everything so just bring yourself and a mind open to magic ✨️
What should I expect?
During a sound bath, you may experience dream-like imagery, see colours, or simply enjoy a deep sense of rest. Some participants notice physical sensations such as tingling or warmth, or become more aware of areas of tension or discomfort, which may gently soften or ease as the sound journey progresses. These experiences will vary from person to person, and may also differ from one session to another.
Emotionally, you may feel peaceful, joyful, reflective, or occasionally tearful. Whatever arises, you're encouraged to meet it with kindness and without judgement.
Most people find the sounds of gongs and crystal singing bowls relaxing and meditative. Occasionally, however, you may find that a particular sound feels uncomfortable or evokes an unexpected response. If this happens, you may wish to simply return your attention to your breath, body sensations, or a gentle mantra. You're always encouraged to listen to your own needs and adjust your position or take a break if that feels right for you.
Contraindications:
Every person's experience of a sound bath is unique. Many people find sound baths deeply relaxing, restorative and supportive of their wellbeing. However, a sound bath may not be suitable for you if you:
• experience tinnitus or sound-triggered epilepsy;
• are in the first trimester of pregnancy;
• are currently receiving, or have received within the past six months, treatment or medication for a significant mental or physical health condition (please contact me to discuss your individual circumstances);
• have a pacemaker or certain implanted medical devices or metal implants.
A Note from Me:
Above all, this is an invitation to rest, to meet your experience without expectation, and to offer yourself gentle care and kindness. It is my sincere wish to create a nurturing space where you feel safe, supported, and able to simply be.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss whether a sound bath is suitable for you, please do get in touch. I would also love to hear your feedback following the session.
